The Carnival Museum

The World’s Only Carnival & Circus Museum

Background

The Carnival Museum opened in Brantford in 2015 but because of a zoning issue, the city closed the museum to the public in 2016. To reopen, we needed to find a new home city or hit the road to display our artefacts. Our collection consists of all kinds of midway paraphernalia including stand alone attractions, rides and games, enough to make a complete small working carnival.

Our artefact collection is presented as a small working carnival, anchored by the ever popular Carousel. Our museum, unlike most, generates all its funding from its heritage collection of rides and games.
